![]() ![]() its what i was using to install windows 10. ![]() Sorry i should have called it a CD drive. With a USB drive attached to Surface you can't even get into the UEFI? What does the "USB disk drive" being disconnected in the above story have to do anything, I'm struggling to understand Your storage is dead if Windows or the UEFI can't see it. If any of these groups are the wrong place for this feel free to move. any ideas that could help me get this running again? would using a bootable USB drive work better than a CD?Īny help you guys can give me would be appreciated greatly! im not having any luck with google on what to do next with this. i can get into the Surface Bios and change things there, but only if the USB disk drive is disconnected from the Surface. it will come to the Surface Logo and then restart and keep doing that. but since trying to get it to boot to disk again it just gets stuck in a boot cycle. i did this and it got stuck at the same place. i did some googling and most everyone i saw agreed you needed to delete the partitions and install it direct into the unallocated space. the issue I'm having though is when i was first installing it it kept getting stuck at 94% of getting windows Files ready for installation. ![]() i am in a pickle, i am working to get an old surface Pro setup on Windows 10. ![]()
